I'm alive...I think

Siestas and miestas,

I'll refrain from writing much, b/c I still don't make much sense to my own self, and I can't even type without having to hit 'delete' from the number of typos I keep making! BUT, I wanted to say hello, and let you know that I've been absent from blog world b/c I've been sick for about 2 weeks now. Booh for colds and booh for stomach viruses, especially when they come at the same time.

1) I've been sick.
2) I've slept a LOT.
3) I've slept a LOT.
4) Gatorade has become a dear friend again.
5) Nate is wonderful to me. We couldn't see each other over Thanksgiving as had originally planned, so he hopped on a plane last weekend to surprise me with a visit. The boy knows my love language is quality-time, and despite my low-energy state, he made the visit great.
5) I have 3 weeks before the semester ends to get all of my work done. (WAIT...Lemme go try not to fall out over that one. THREE WEEKS! Hmm...prayer for the sickly child who hasn't been able to do her work).
6) Snow fell this morning. I thought someone had spray painted an area of our driveway with white spray paint; I was so flustered that they didn't evenly distribute it (in my Type A Personality self). It was 70 back in GA. Can you tell I've never seen snow fall before? Yep...

Okay...I'm delirious. And done! Happy Turkey Day sweet sisters. Do take the time to reflect over the faithfulness of the Lord upon your lives this past year. It so overwhelmed me. He is such the One to be praised.
From Nate's visit:

Oh yes ma'am you are alive!! I just popped over to see if by chance you had updated and here you were.....I was thrilled! Nate is just the sweetest gentlemen and all of us mommas out here pray our boys grow to be Godly fine young men like your Nate! You are blessed sweet girl.

I pray for you often Shelly. I know you will be happy to have this 1st semester behind you. I can't tell you how proud I am of you. I am just in awe of your wisdom. Hang in there!! We are all cheering you on.

Happy Thanksgiving siesta. Now, let me sound like a momma for a minute...."Be careful coming home. Call often to let us know you are ok. Don't drive if you are too tired. Watch out for the other drivers!!" And, enjoy your family and friends of course.

Much love friend....

We have had the cold bug around here and are finally getting over it. I can't imagine being sick and trying to get school stuff taken care of.
Glad you got to spend some time with Nate. Seems like things are settling in nicely. :)
Try and keep your mind on school ;)
Hope you get to come home for the holidays.

For not feeling well, you still look beautiful! I'll keep you in my prayers. Nate seems like a sweetie! It's kind of exciting to see the first snow! I am grateful for you this Thanksgiving. You were the first girl to be so sweet to me on this blog! My life has been enriched since then. Thank you!

Alive, Forever, Amen.......oh if I could only sing!! Be glad you are spared that scenerio. Two things come to mind: (as you do it)
1)Job 12.10---For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being.-- He knows you and you are His favorite.
2)SS 2.4--He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love.-- As you sit down to your turkey banquet, imagine His heavenly banner of love flying right over you.

First snowfall ever...WOW. I get so excited at the first snowfall of the year. It varies here and we generally have a mild winter, but what a sight to behold when everything is covered in white. Glory...(in the Highest).

Nate is precious, so glad you have him.
love you

What darling pictures!! I'm glad to hear you are getting over the "bugs." There is nothing worse than a stomach bug - nasty!! My little guy is having some stomach issues (it's on my blog) so, I know how bad it can be.
I've missed you and I'm praying for your last three weeks of school to be a breeze for you.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We all have so much to be thankful for!
Blessings my dear Sista,
Lisa

So sorry to hear about the bug!! We have been dealing with it here in good ol' GA as well. It has been gorgeous weather though adn we have been to the park almost every day. Enjoy the snow for me-I remember as akid we would have at least one snow a year but not so much anymore.
Have a great Thanksgving and my love language is quality time as well! Go Nate for figuring it out now.

I LOVE that last picture. The 2 of you are just precious.
I hope you are feeling better - it is not fun to be sick especially when you are away from home.
I got pneumonia my freshman year of college and I called home and said come get me!! My parents drove hours to come pick me up and baby me all week!
I wish I could have flown up to help out but it looks like Nate gave you some much needed TLC!!!
God bless and always praying for you my darling friend!!

Hey girl! Don't respond to any emails or facebook things from me. Someone hacked it and it's no longer me! I wrote about it on my blog. Just needed to let everyone know!
